What We Feed

Our Raw Feeding Philosophy

Providing our dogs with exceptional care begins with proper nutrition. One of the ways we support the long-term health and well-being of our dogs is through a carefully planned raw feeding program. We believe dogs thrive when they are fed fresh, minimally processed foods that closely reflect the diet their bodies were designed to eat.

Because of this philosophy, all of our dogs and puppies are raised on a raw diet from an early age. Feeding raw allows us to provide wholesome, nutrient-rich meals without the unnecessary fillers, artificial preservatives, or heavy processing that are often found in commercial pet foods.

Many owners who feed raw report noticeable benefits such as healthier skin and coats, cleaner teeth, improved digestion, smaller stools, and increased overall vitality. While every dog is different, we have found that this style of feeding supports the strong, healthy development we strive for in our program.

Our dogs are primarily fed a balanced 80/10/10 raw diet, which includes:

  • 80% muscle meat

  • 10% raw edible bone

  • 10% organ meat

This balance helps ensure dogs receive the nutrients they need for strong muscles, healthy organs, and proper development.

In addition to their main meals, we occasionally provide nutritious whole-food additions such as:

  • Raw farm fresh eggs

    • Raw eggs are a highly nutritious addition to a dog’s diet. They are packed with high-quality protein, healthy fats, vitamins, and minerals that help support muscle development, healthy skin, and a shiny coat. Eggs also contain nutrients such as vitamin A, vitamin D, and B vitamins, which contribute to overall health. When fed in moderation, raw eggs can be a wholesome and natural supplement to a balanced diet.

  • Sardines and other small oily fish

    • Sardines and other small oily fish are an excellent natural source of omega-3 fatty acids, which support healthy skin, a glossy coat, and proper brain function. Omega-3s can also help support joint health and reduce inflammation. Small fish like sardines are especially beneficial because they are low on the food chain and tend to contain fewer contaminants than larger fish. They also provide important nutrients such as calcium, vitamin D, and selenium.

  • Natural chews such as duck feet

    • Natural chews like duck feet provide both nutrition and enrichment for dogs. They contain natural sources of glucosamine and chondroitin, which help support healthy joints and mobility. Chewing also promotes dental health by helping reduce plaque buildup and keeping teeth clean. In addition, natural chews satisfy a dog’s instinct to chew, providing mental stimulation and enjoyment.

  • Plain greek yogurt

    • Plain Greek yogurt can be a beneficial addition to a dog’s diet when fed in moderation. It contains natural probiotics, which help support healthy digestion and balance good bacteria in the gut. Greek yogurt is also a good source of protein, calcium, and vitamins, which help support strong bones and overall health. When choosing yogurt for dogs, it’s important to use plain, unsweetened Greek yogurt with no added sugars or artificial sweeteners.

  • Pumpkin

    • Plain pumpkin is often used to support healthy digestion in dogs. It is rich in fiber, which can help regulate the digestive system and support normal stool consistency. Pumpkin also contains beneficial nutrients such as vitamin A, potassium, and antioxidants, which contribute to overall health. A small amount added to meals can be a gentle and natural way to support digestive balance.

These additions provide beneficial nutrients like omega fatty acids, vitamins, and natural joint support.

What Your Puppy is Currently Eating

All puppies raised in our program are introduced to raw food early and will already be accustomed to eating a fresh diet before going to their new homes.

At the time your puppy goes home, they will be eating a balanced raw diet primarily based on high-quality beef blends, along with occasional additions such as sardines, eggs, and other natural foods for added nutrition.

Your puppy will go home with feeding guidance so you can easily continue the same routine.

Feeding Your Puppy

Puppies generally eat two to three meals per day depending on their age and size.

A common guideline for feeding raw is approximately 2–3% of a dog’s body weight per day, although growing puppies may need slightly more while they develop.

Raw food should remain frozen until needed and thawed in the refrigerator before feeding. Basic food safety practices such as washing bowls and hands after handling raw food are recommended.

Raw Feeding FAQ

Is raw feeding safe?
Yes, when properly handled and nutritionally balanced. Dogs have digestive systems designed to process raw meat and bones.

Can puppies eat raw food?
Absolutely. Puppies often transition very easily when raised on raw from the beginning, as our puppies are.

Do dogs need vegetables?
Dogs primarily benefit from animal-based nutrition, though small amounts of fruits or vegetables may be included if desired.

What if I cannot continue feeding raw?
While we strongly encourage continuing the diet your puppy is accustomed to, we understand that every family is different. If you choose to transition to another diet, we recommend doing so slowly to avoid digestive upset.

Our Commitment

Proper nutrition is one of the foundations of our breeding program. By feeding a natural, species-appropriate diet, we aim to give every dog and puppy the healthiest possible start in life.
